About The Other Half of Me

bath time reading sorted with Morgan McCarthy’s page turner
- SUNDAY TIMES

Growing up on their grandmother’s imposing estate in a remote corner of Wales, Jonathan Anthony and his little sister Theo’s world is one in which adults play little part. Their father has never been around and their mother is usually too numbed by gin and prescription drugs to notice her children at all. And so Jonathan and Theo are left to roam free and look after each other.

Until, that is, their grandmother Eve Anthony comes home. Eve, a world-famous hotel magnate and philanthropist, is at once enchanting and formidable. She takes the children under her wing and fills in the holes in their family history that have always gaped so conspicuously. But as Jonathan and Theo grow older, Eve’s version of the past
begins to show its cracks. Could it be that there is something rotten buried deep? One thing is certain: any effort to uncover the truth will send the Anthony family’s house of cards toppling and, for someone, prove fatal.

Exquisitely pitched, bristling with menace and unfolding in the most delicious way, THE OTHER HALF OF ME is a debut by a stunning new British talent.
