The Vacation Killer

Despite the rapid proliferation of the email, on Tuesday February 13th 2007 a package with a local postmark arrived at the Wyoming Police Department. It contained a bedraggled rabbit skin scarf. Wrapped in it was the boiled jawbone of Cody Solomon. Even though it had arrived in 38,000 inboxes worldwide, police in the vicinity were completely unaware of the email. Cody Solomon was an itinerant prostitute with dreadlocks and an inverted navel.

Sometime later in the UK, Leo Sharpe receives one of the block emails and he deletes it immediately. Shortly after, his new wife, Laura, vanishes into thin air. Haunted by his loss, frustrated and impotent at the same time, he hears the news that a man claiming to be the Vacation Killer has been imprisoned in the US after confessing to several murders which took place in the UK. But there’s still no trace of Laura.

Several shady characters raise their heads to claim the police have the wrong man and to claim notoriety for themselves. Via a website, Leo is drawn into a web of deceit, mind-games, mystery and danger by someone claiming to know the whereabouts of Laura.

And so begins a heart-stopping journey to find the truth.
