About Operation Storm City

From Lucknow, India, to the the most hostile regions of China, the final instalment of Joshua Mowll’s Guild Trilogy builds to its electrifying conclusion: using hard won information gleaned during Operation Red Jericho and Operation Typhoon Shore, Rebecca and Douglas MacKenzie decide the time is right to track down their parents’ ill-fated expedition to Sinkiang. They set out for the so-called ‘Desert of Death’, the presumed location of Ur-Can, also known as Storm City, where an ancient machine of incredible power lies dormant beneath the parched sands. This, they believe, is where their parents were bound.

Shifty loyalties, an Indian labyrinth, escape from an airship over the Himalayas, and a near fatal crash-landing during an apocalyptic desert storm all challenge the young MacKenzies’ resilience beyond anything they have encountered before, as they battle to discover the purpose of Ur-Can and the whereabouts of their parents. But first they must unravel the most closely guarded and highly protected secrets at the very heart of the trilogy.

Rebecca and Doug’s persistence is finally rewarded with a consequence neither expected – as Ur-Can awakes, they discover their quest has left them holding the fate of the world in their hands, with no one to rely on for help but each other.
