The Light Between Oceans film adaptation launches at Venice

Conville & Walsh Literary Agency are thrilled to announce that the film adaptation of ML Stedman’s bestselling debut novel The Light Between Oceans launched at the Venice Film Festival to fantastic critical plaudits. It was praised in the Telegraph for “the breadth of its compassion” while the Guardian‘s Peter Bradshaw applauded the “strong, heartfelt, ingenuous performances from Alicia Vikander and Michael Fassbender”, and the Independent said that the story “is filmed in bravura, bone-rattling fashion by Cianfrance”.

Following the film launch, the novel has leapt back into the New York Times bestseller list, and is also currently steaming ahead in the Sunday Times top 10. The Light Between Oceans is now on general release in the US, and premiered in the UK on the 4th November.
