Professor Jim al-Khalili - THE HOUSE OF WISDOM

Penguin Press has bought the world rights to Professor Jim al-Khalili’s THE HOUSE OF WISDOM, a work of historical redress which will re-assert the role of the mediaeval Arabic scientists who worked from the 8th to the 13th centuries AD.

Professor of Physics at the University of Surrey, Jim was awarded the Royal Society’s Faraday prize for Science Communication in 2007, and has also agreed to write and present a three part documentary series on the same subject for broadcast on BBC television.
