MR NICE, the film based on Howard Marks’ bestselling book of the same name, has picked up an award at this year’s Edinburgh Film Festival. The film stars Rhys Ifans, Chloë Sevigny and David Thewlis, who won the PPG Award for Best Performance in a British Feature Film.
‘This is a thrill and totally unexpected, and made all the more special by being honoured by one of my favourite cities in the world,’ said Thewlis as he accepted the award.
Howard Marks’ first novel, Sympathy for the Devil, follows DS Catrin Thomas as she investigates the death of her ex-lover and co-worker. It is due to be released in Spring 2011.
