We’re really looking forward to the London Book Fair next week, and will be talking about some wonderful titles while we’re there. The cover image comes from Flight by John Heminway, about flying doctor Anne Spoerry, who spent 35 years saving lives in East Africa, despite a murky past in the Second World War. We will be continuing to sell rights to Misha Glenny’s Dark Market, which lifts the lid on cybercrime in the 21st century, and has already been sold in 17 languages. We will be selling our first Dutch graphic novel, Gagarin, about the first manned mission to space, as well as Salt Junk, the debut novel by Howard Cunnell, which has been getting a lot of interest since signing with Picador in the UK. On top of which, Belle de Jour, a.k.a. Dr Brooke Magnanti, will write her first book under her real name: Sexonomics, an examination of third-wave feminism and the sex trade, which is sure to stir up a lot of debate.
