For the last two decades, Jane has been promoting her vision of a simpler life in her best selling books (over 450,000 copies worldwide). A former decorating editor of House & Garden magazine, Jane has worked as a journalist and style director on leading publications including Elle Decoration.  Her stylish and influential look has been used to sell many home furnishing brands including Habitat, Marks and Spencer and Laura Ashley.

Jane’s design ideas are regularly featured in leading interiors and lifestyle magazines and newspapers, worldwide. And, decorated with her trademark simplicity, Jane’s house is in constant demand as a location and hired out to clients such as Next and The White Company.

Voted by Elle Decoration (July 09) as one of the best Style Blogs on the web, Jane’s website sets out her simple design philosophy illustrating it with strong evocative images.  Visitors to the site, which also includes a shop selling Jane’s books, are growing fast.

Jane is married to Alastair, has three children, Tom 20, Georgie 17 and Gracie 15, a dog, a cat, a bicycle and a vegetable patch. The family live in south London.
