Alexander studied for a BA in English and American Literature at the University of Manchester and stayed on to pursue an MA in American Cultural Studies. While studying, Alexander worked for a few independent publishing houses before moving to the Middle East for a year to work for an educational publisher.
On his return to the UK, Alexander undertook various placements and temporary positions throughout the publishing industry, including stints at a Literary Scout and Literary Agent, before joining Conville & Walsh in early 2011 as Clare Conville’s assistant.
